Lazy Majorcan Days

We made it.

Two kids, one husband and a lotta baggage but boy was it worth the effort.

Our home for the week is pretty special. The beach is just the other side of our garden gate, almost as close as our swimming pool. It’s like modern day Famous Five over here and we couldn’t be happier about it. I’ll admit, it’s flooded with sun worshippers all day but first thing in the morning and last thing at night, it’s all ours. Every last grain of it.

Archie and Daddy go down to the beach first thing every morning for fishing fun, where Archie pirouettes around whilst instructing Daddy on the best way to catch the fish. Theo and I stay cuddled up in bed with our friend Tractor Ted.

Then Grandma fills our table with continental goodies which we devour on the terrace whilst overlooking the sunny Majorcan coastline discussing our plans for the day.

After breakfast I go for a blissfully quiet swim and a little yoga to follow whilst the boys entertain Daddy. Thank goodness for this heavenly slice of me time. Holidays with kids are magical but restful they are not!

The rest of our days have been spent splashing about in the pool and wondering the streets looking for the next place to fill our tummies.

We’re over half way through our time here and we can’t wait to see where this sunny little island takes us.

If any of you have been to Majorca and know of any hidden gems I’d love to hear from you.

But for now I’ll go back to my beer on the terrace……

Thanks for being here.

Love Gemsy
