• A Railway Adventure

Last month we embarked on a railway adventure to the far off place of Worcester town. With autumn in full flow I thought it was the perfect time to take Arch somewhere on the train. He’s been on the choo choo before but not since he jumps up and down with excitement when we do something new.

Worcester was the perfect destination as it was only an hour on the train so Arch could enjoy it but not get fed up too quickly.

We can always rely on Grandma to be our partner in crime so she came along for the ride too.

Arch was seriously excited about the whole thing. One of my favourite parts of being Mum to him is seeing the delight on his face when we do something new and fun. It’s worth a thousand tantrums!

In true Thomas style we had the obligatory run to the platform as navigating the lifts took longer than we thought. I’ve been known to miss a train for a cuppa so I’m always happy when we’re ‘all aboard’! As always Archie took it all in his stride and wondered what all the fuss was about.

Of course rice pudding is the obvious train ride snack choice! I sometimes worry that he’ll look like a rice pudding if I’m not careful, he eats far too many of these but sometimes it’s not worth the argument. I just make sure he eats a banana too.

The stations here in England are something special so next time you’re traveling drink them in, they don’t make them like this anymore.

Train ride excitement meant it was all too much for our little man who fell asleep just in time for Mum and I to start some Christmas shopping. What a result!

He stayed fast asleep in our favourite Thai restuarant so we parked him up and managed to have a very civalised lunch. Mum had the Massaman curry and I had the Ga Pao, both were delicious and left us both feeling in need of a siesta.

Arch woke up just in time for his fix of prawn crackers and his lunch. Couldn’t have timed it better if we tried.

Arch waved at every train he saw whilst we waited for our train home.

With full tummies, a buggy full of shopping and a very happy little boy it was homeward bound for all three of us.

As any Mum would know, some days are hard and some are really special, this was definitely the latter.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Love Gemsy

Ah such beautiful photos, kids love the simplest of things. Miss H loved her first train trip; but we haven’t taken her on one since, we really should. I love the red station where is it?

Thank you so much for linking up to #HMCapturingMoments, hope to see you again tomorrow! x
